Tabitha is trapped in a detention house, accused of murdering neighbor Stuart Rees. However, she can remember almost nothing of the day in question; she was suffering from depression. Still, she thinks she is innocent. When she notices that her intended lawyer doubts this, she decides to defend herself. But that proves difficult from the cell. Several acquaintances from the village and her ex visit her in prison, leading her to find out that Stuart had few friends and that she herself has been watched with suspicion since she moved back into the village. Could someone be trying to pin the blame on her or did she do it herself?
