As an expedition leader you search for the mysterious golden city and win the game by being the first to reach El Dorado. You start with a generic deck of cards that you use to move around the game board. Your deck consists of a team of scouts, travelers, and sailors who will help you cross different terrains. Along the way you'll encounter swirling rivers, dense rainforests, and unfamiliar tribes. Combine the playfields in endless ways to make the game even more exciting and try to beat your opponents by assembling a better deck and travelling the routes the quickest.
To start the expedition, draw 4 cards from the draw pile and play them tactically. You can use the cards to travel through the Amazon or use them to buy equipment or appoint other team members at the market to use later. You can collect points by overcoming obstacles. When you reach El Dorado together with another player, not the fastest, but the bravest expedition leader who has overcome the most obstacles wins.
